We read everything that comes in.

Email support@guppygulp.com and tell us what phone you are on and what you were doing at the time. That is usually enough for us to sort it out on the first reply.

I paid, and it is asking me to pay again

Open the app, go to the You tab and tap Restore purchases. So long as you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with, the unlock comes straight back. Do exactly the same on a new phone. The purchase follows your Apple Account, not the device.

The widget is blank, or it will not update

Remove the widget from your home screen and add it again. iOS holds on to the last picture it drew, so a widget you added before the app had any data can keep showing an empty one.

The widget also refreshes on Apple’s schedule rather than instantly. It knows how fast your meters fall and draws them correctly in between, so a little lag on the day’s total is normal and not a fault.

I am not getting reminders

Open Settings › Notifications › Guppy Gulp on your phone and make sure notifications are allowed. Then open the You tab in the app and check that reminders are switched on and that the hours are set to when you are actually awake. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, so they work offline, but they do need that permission.

My streak reset and I think that is wrong

A day counts when you reach your goal for that day, in your own timezone. Two things catch people out. Changing your daily goal judges your recent days against the new number. And a drink you log after midnight belongs to the day you logged it on, not to the evening it felt like.

If you believe a day was counted wrongly, email us the date and we will look at it.

Can I move my reef to a new phone?

Your progress lives on your device. If you set your new phone up from an iCloud backup or an encrypted computer backup, it comes across with everything else. Simply signing in will not move it, because there is no account system. That is the same reason we cannot see your data or recover it for you.

Your purchase is separate, and is always restorable through Restore purchases.

I want a refund

Apple handles refunds, not us. We never take your payment, so we are not able to return it. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund for the purchase. Do tell us what went wrong as well. We would much rather fix it.

Something is broken, or I have an idea

Please send it. One sentence about what you expected and what happened instead is worth more to us than a long report. If something looks visibly wrong, a screenshot settles it at once.
